March: Pro-Panel 2024
Prepare for a fun and interesting step in to 185+ years of experience for an eye opening, insightful and fun panel discussion featuring Toronto Ring 17 members and long-time pros: Wij the Magician, Buck Macleod, Glenn Ottaway, and Dick Joiner. Let’s peel back a few layers on the craft as these seasoned performers share their unique perspectives, recounting challenges, triumphs, and invaluable lessons learned during their magical journeys.
Annual General Meeting 2024

When it comes to magic in Toronto, James Alan has had his hand in every cookie jar you can think of.
Performing for the public, he has created long-running shows including Magic Tonight (2013-2016) and Magic & Martini (2016-2020), produced shows for visiting international performers including Eugene Burger, Dani DaOrtiz and Asi Wind. For the community, he has been actively involved with the important community outreach programs My Magic Hands and Senior Sorcery.
November - Joshua Jay Lecture
Joshua Jay is regarded as one of the industry's most polished and engaging lecturers, and Toronto magicians will now have a chance to see why. You'll see a mixture of Joshua's best effects and brand new things he's never published or released. You'll see a mix of magic and mentalism, of close-up and parlor, of cards and magic with other objects. October - Alain Choquette Lecture
Alain Choquette has been a stage and TV performer for more than 35 years.
He started on TV as a weekly guest on AdLib (a popular Quebec talk show), and then mounted his first show, “Première Apparition,” for four years in Canada and Atlantic City, including a six-month engagement at the famous Caesar’s Palace. Two effects from that show were subsequently performed by David Copperfield: “Dream of Aces” and “The Verdict”, where 12 people from the audience disappeared.

Murray teaches you many of his secrets including how to get on TV, making a normal or boring trick memorable and getting more money for your shows.
April - David Parr Lecture
Online or in person, David Parr's magic lectures are what Bob Neale likens to "a gourmet meal," providing food for thought, good company and good conversation. His latest lecture, presented online, is in two parts. The first hour is an intriguing little collection of material developed during the pandemic time and one or two rediscoveries from his past. The second half is a Q&A session in which David will answer your questions about any aspects of his fifty-year career in magic. If you have questions about his published work, his creative process, getting booked on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, performing virtual shows, or anything else, this is your chance!
March - Alain Nu Lecture
Alain Nu is not just any “mentalist” but a truly gifted, clever, and creative artist. In this brand new lecture, Alain will teach you a full repertoire of his own original VIRTUAL and INTERACTIVE mentalism routines.
February - Magic Christian talks Hofzinser
In February, we will be joined live from Austria by performer and author Magic Christian. Magic Christian has won numerous awards, including a Performers Fellowship from the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. He recently completed two mammoth tomes about the life and magic of the legendary Viennese conjurer Hofzinser.
