Broken Wand: David “Baldini” Grosfield

David “Baldini” Grosfield (1966-2021)

From TheStar.com

GROSFIELD, DAVID Suddenly on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Beloved son of Irving and the late Myra Grosfield. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Howard and Katherine, and Stephen. Devoted uncle of Sophie, Alice, Lily and Jake. Memorial donations may be made to the David Grosfield Memorial Fund c/o The Benjamin Foundation. www.benjamins.ca

David Grosfield was a force of nature. His energy and enthusiasm for magic… and life in general… filled the room and there was no hiding from it.

I got to work with David many times on our crazy seat-of-the-pants bar shows, which appeared under so many titles I can’t remember them all. He went on to become a fixture at Ontario Science Centre where he presented large auditorium shows on The Science of Magic, which grew into a series of popular after-school workshops delivered by himself and a team of enthusiastic young magicians.

I speak for so many in the magic community in Toronto when I say we will miss him deeply.
